Signs your charge port needs repair
- Your device only charges at certain angles, or the cable feels loose
- It won't charge at all, or charges very slowly
- The cable won't push in, or lint or damage is visible in the port
- Your device no longer connects to a computer or console
- Headphones cut out, crackle or work in one ear only
Try a different cable and charger first. If it still won't charge, bring it in and we'll check it. A lot of the time it's a port we can replace.
Parts & warranty
The parts we use. If we can source the part, we will replace it. We test the repaired device before you collect it.
Our warranty. All microsoldering repairs, including charge port and connector replacements, come with a 3-month warranty. A warranty claim is only accepted after our technician has inspected the device and confirmed the fault is covered. Our warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Do you do microsoldering in the shop?
Yes. We do some microsoldering in house, including replacing charge ports and connectors. For more advanced board-level repairs, we work closely with another shop in Sydney that gives us a fast turnaround.
Can you replace a charge port on a game console or TV?
Yes, in most cases. We replace charge ports and connectors on handheld consoles, Nintendo, Wii, Xbox and PlayStation consoles, and even TVs. If we can source the part, we will replace it.
Do you repair headphones?
